I am so happy I can spot my problem overnight and admit the old habit and move on.
Lisa, you too. You have made a lot of progress.
We don't let the negativity stay too long in our mind and body.
congratulations! You pass the lesson one.

surrender
Last week, I mailed my beloved book---the voice of the heart --to Jeff. This Sunday, I lost my beloved ipod which is the gift from Lisa. I feel sad and pain, because the contents of it covering the speeches of GURU ,the chanting of Dalai lama and the wisdom of it all. Especially they play an important role on my recovering healing path. I carry it when I teach yoga-- the beautiful yoga healing musics.I left on the floor after finishing the yoga class on Sunday.
I ask myself what is the meaning of this two events? May be God begins to teach me how to suurender. I begin to clean unwanted things cluttering all over my desk,my house , my purse.
There is a valid reason behind the events. I learn the biggest lesson----surrender in a condition of no pain and no joy.

The blue stones by Isak Dinesen
a skipper who named his ship after his wife. He had the figure-head of it beautifully carved, just like her, and the hair of it gilt. But his wife was jealous of the ship. "You think more of the figure-head than of me," she said to him. "No," he answered, "I think so highly of her because she is like you, yes, because she is you yourself. Is she not gallant, full bosomed; does she not dance in the waves, like you at our wedding? In a way she is really kinder to me than you are. She gallops along where I tell her to go, and she lets her long hair hang down freely, while you put yours under a cap. But she turns her back to me, so that when I want a kiss I come home to Elsinore." Now once, when the skipper was trading at Trankebar, he chanced to help an old native king to flee traitors in his own country. As they parted the king gave him two blue, precious stones, and these he had set into the face of his figure-head, like a pair of eyes to it. When he came back home he told his wife of his adventure, and said: "Now she has your blue eyes too." "You had better give me the stones for a pair of earrings," said she. "No," he said again, "I cannot do that, and you would not ask me to if you understood." Still the wife could not stop fretting about the blue stones, and one day, when her husband was with the skipper's corporation, she had a glazier of the town take them out, and put two bits of blue glass into the figure-head instead, and the skipper did not find out, but sailed off to Portugal. But after some time the skipper's wife found out that her eyesight was growing bad, and she could not see to thread a needle. She went to a wise woman, who gave her ointments and waters, but they did not help her and in the end the old woman shook her head, and told her that this was a rare and incurable disease, and that she was going blind. "Oh, God." The wife then cried, " that ship was back in the harbor of Elsinore. Then I should have the glass taken out, and the jewels put back. For did he not say that they were my eyes?" But the ship did not come back. Instead the skipper's wife had a letter from the Consul of Portugal, who informed her that she had been wrecked, and gone to the bottom with all hands. And it was very strange thing, the Consul wrote, that in broad daylight she had run straight into a tall rock, rising out of the sea.

You light up my Life
So many nights I sit by my window
Waiting for someone to sing me his song
So many dreams I kept deep inside me
Alone in the dark but now
You've come along
You light up my life
You give me hope
To carry on
You light up my days
and fill my nights with song
Rollin' at sea, adrift on the water
Could it be finally I'm turning for home?
Finally, a chance to say hey,
I love You
Never again to be all alone
You light up my life
You give me hope
To carry on
You light up my days
and fill my nights with song
You light up my life
You give me hope
To carry on
You light up my days
and fill my nights with song
It can't be wrong
When it feels so right
'Cause You
You light up my life

sisters
I have three sisters. We grew up in the poor family. My eldest sister married in her 18 years old age. My second sister has never married. I have heard she broke her heart due to the first romantic love. My youngest sister married to a soldier. you better believe in fate. Why? She was chosen as a nurse in the army from hundres of people. After she worked there for a few weeks,my father told her to resign and said:"If you work in this environment, you will marry a soldier." She resigned with the compensation, but she still married a soldier later on.
Three of them have the same characters----good heart, competitive, fast talk, calculate, control and easy to lose temper. They weigh more on left brain. The right brain's fuction is to let you feel relaxed, happy, spiritual, unlimited potential like GOD. Their way of life is not balanced due to the imbalanced use of the right and left brain.
When they suffer, I feel the same too. My eldest sister went through a intestine surgery months ago. I sent her six Buddha sutras. She read all of them and transcended her to a new way of thinking. She treats these books like treasure. In her recent trip to Taiwan, She carried with her to give to her son to read. After she came back, she brought them back to give to my second sister to read. My second sister has never touched them yet.
My youngest sister suffers the pain of losing the daughter-in law and grandson recently. I sent her sutras to chant for offering. I chant too.
The pain, the sufferings will follow us while we walk along the path of our life. We come to the Earth to experience every event in order to transcend ourself.
Until you know you are part of God, you are not free.

The important person in your life
The professor speaks to the students:"Let's play games.Who is willing to help me
?"One female student comes to him. The professor says:"Please write down 20 persons you love the most." She writes down her neighbors,friends,co-workers,families.
The professor says :"Please cross out the one you feel not important." She crosses out her neighbor. The professor says:" Please cross out another one." She crosses out her co-worker. Untill only 3 people's name are on the black board--her parent, husband, son.
The classroom is so quiet. Everyone looks each other. The professor says with calm:"Please cross out one more." The student with hesitation crosses out her parent's name.
"Cross out another one." the professor says. She crosses out her son's name, then she cries out loud for a period of time.
After she calms down, the professor wants her to explain about her decision.
She says:"When the time passes by,my parents will pass away before me. When My son
grow up, he will leave me alone for sure. Only my husband will stay with me till the end."
When you are with your families, you enjoy the present moment with them. We do not need to choose one of three or two of three.
